Red Velvet Belgium Buttermilk Waffles
These red velvet Belgium waffles use the same recipe as my red velvet pancakes, less the chocolate chips:
Red Velvet Buttermilk Belgium Waffle Recipe:
Following directions on instant buttermilk pancake mix, doctor by adding:
1/2 Cup powder baking cocoa
A few teaspoons natural red food coloring
1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping:
1/2 Cup walnuts
1/2 Banana sliced
Hazelnut syrup
Powdered sugar (optional)
Following the directions on the pancake mix add in the extra ingredients and create your hot cakes. Here chocolate powdered sugar was sprinkled on top along with banana slices, nuts and hazelnut syrup. This also works to create waffles a'la Mode with chocolate syrup and vanilla ice cream!
