DIY Flavored Butters
Whipping up these flavored butters is really easy! Use slightly room temperature unsalted butter and either a whisk or, as I like to, a mortar and pestle to cream everything together well. Then transfer to a container or roll into logs between sheets of wax paper and pop into the fridge. Here's how to do it 3 ways:
Spicy Roasted Garlic Butter
- 1 cup of unsalted butter
- 4 cloves of roasted garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon chopped hot peppers
- 1 teaspoon salt
- A dash of freshly ground white Muntok pepper to taste
Lavender, Chive & Parsley Butter
- 1 cup of unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon lavender
- 4 Tablespoons of chopped chives
- 4 Tablespoons chopped parsley
Sweet Nutty Cheese Butter
- 1 cup of unsalted butter
- 4 Tablespoons Roquefort blue cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 Tablespoon finely chopped or ground pecan nuts
- 1/4 cup of honey
